PingSigma Standard Freeware Ver 0.98
PingSigma-Standard is the tool which can diagnose exactly a network problem.
It can analyze quality of end-to-end and then allow you to quickly look at the data in an intuitive graphical format
Specially, PingSigma-Standard can give you to analyze exactly a variance of latency, jitter on network and to be able to measure.
PingSigma-Standard allows you to understand the network, and hunt up problems by taking raceroute, ping, location lookup. The many graphical aspects make it easy to rapidly analysis where a problem is occuring and what the problem is. It supports very simple but powerful fuctions.

More Information
Features in PingSigma Standard v 0.98 include:
|
Easy
to use

|
|
PingSigma's basic mode means you just type in the address you
want information about and hit "Start". It starts measuring and analyzing and report you jitter variance, jitter distribution, trend of delay
|
|
High
performance

|
|
PingSigma-light is very
fast and exact. Minimum packet to packet
interval time is 5 micro seconds only.

Analysis
of jitter distribution

|
|
It has been suggested in voice over IP that an appropriate choice of the
distribution used in modeling the delay jitters, can improve the play-out
algorithm. In this paper, we propose a tool using which, one can determine, at a
given instance, which distribution model best explains the jitter distribution.
This is done using Expectation trimming percent, to choose gamma
distribution model of
the best suited.

Play-out
algorithm simulation

|
|
We study the delay characteristics of voice packets that share a transmission
medium with bursty data traffic. In order to model the data traffic accurately,
we used real data traffic traces upon which we superimposed simulated voice
sources generating real time traffic at a constant rate. Our simulation
environment allows us to easily develop and compare different adaptive
algorithms for the play-out delay of voice streams. We motivate and compare the
performance of algorithms based on exponential smoothing techniques. |

E-Model
& MOS

|
|
Calculate MOS score. Delivered
E-Mode, Applying E-model on Ie
gives the R factor whose value ranges from 0 to 100 (100 is the best, 0 is the
worst). R factor mapping to MOS values is
shown at the end. The Ie
factor incorporates the effects of codec, jitter, packet loss, packet loss
distribution, and recency. The preferred place to passively monitor for these
values is the VOIP codec. Here you know the codec type, jitter buffer size, and
post-jitter buffer packet loss events. PingSigma is supported 12 codec types(G.711,G.711
PLC,G.723.1 5.3k,G.723.1 6.3k,G.726 16k,G.726
24k,G.726 32k,G.726 40k,G.728 16k,G.729,G.729A,GSM
FR (6.10)) and play-out algorithm and etc.
